NOT ONLY PUB..BUT ALSO CULTURE:6Night and 5Day in Dublin and an exscusion in Cork

Good Evening/Buona Sera
Possiamo far partire il nostro VIAGGIO da Dublino, capitale della Repubblica d'Irlanda, nonchè famosa ambientazione dell'Ulisse di James Joyce, ricca di cultura percepita attraverso i suoi edifici in stile gregoriano e vivacissima città definita "a misura d'uomo", giovane, vivace numerosi sono i pub presenti.

Vi auguro una buona lettura e spero anche qualche consiglio per chi volesse provare il tour di persona.. :)

1st DAY
St.Stephan's Green
Your Tour starts at the airport. After one hour you’ll lend at the Dublin airport, where a private coach transfers you to  the Hotel  that is in nearby St. Stephan’s Green. After checking-in procedure at the hotel you can give a quick look at the city and you have lunch in a typical pub in near the hotel.

St. Patrick’s Cathedral
In the afternoon you meet with English speaking guide and you start the Tour. You start with the St. Stephan’s Green, the stunning Georgian Park in the city center, it was built as a present for the people of the city by the Guinness family in 19th century; here during the sunny days the people can walk, pick-nick and sunbathe in park.

 
After that you finish to admire the St. Stephan’s Green, you continue with the St. Patrick’s Cathedral, that is the National Church was built in 1192, where St. Patrick performed his first baptism in Ireland, It was built in Irish Gothic Style and it has the biggest Organ Church of Ireland. After you finish the visit, return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

2nd DAY

Trinity College
Breakfast at the hotel, you meet the escorted English speaking guide and begin to visit another important and famous highlights.

Today, the tour stars with the Trinity College was the first university in Ireland and was founded in 1592 by the Dublin Corporation and Archbishop, It was a protestant college and modeled on Cambridge University.

Dublin Castle
Now in the Trinity College there is a treasures as “The Book Of Kells” contain the four Gospels of the New Testamentthe ancient, it is Celtic manuscript. After the visit you can have a lunch in a restaurant near the Dublin Castle that’ll be the next tourist attraction. Dublin Castle built in 1204 by King John for site of administration and the defense of the city. It was the center for Britain govern until 1922, when it was handed over the new Irish Free State, after the fire the building was rebuilt in the old medieval stile. You have dinner at the hotel, after you can go in lively Irish pub, after that you will return to the hotel for the overnight stay.


 
3rd DAY

Guinnes Storehouse
Breakfast at the hotel, you catch the bus to continue your sightseeing tour and arrive a nearby Guinness Storehouse where you’ll discover the world famous beer, its story begins over 250 years ago and ends in the Gravity Bar at the seventh floor of the Guinness palace, where the tourist can admire also Dublin by its top.

When you finish he visit, you’ll have lunch in a pub in Thomas Street, after you continue the visit with the most amazing building in the city: the Christ Church Cathedral.
Christ Church Cathedral

That is the cathedral church of the archdiocese. It was built in two different period therefore in two different styles one part in Gothic stile another in Romanesque. Here King Edward VI was crowned and the Lord deputies took oaths of office.

Temple Bar
Afterword you return to the hotel for dinner, in the evening you can enjoy an outing to a popular and typical are: the Temple Bar. That is an area on the south bank of the River Liffey, in a medieval street. This part of the city is known also as “Dublin’s cultural quarter” with its lively nightlife that is popular also with tourists.


 
4th DAY: CORK

Breakfast at the hotel and departure for Cork by train, after a two hour Journay you arrive in Cork and start your sightseeing tour of the city. Cork is the second largest city in the Republic of Ireland the city’s name derive from Irish and meaning “ marshy place”.



Blarney Stone
The Major place of interest are: St. Patrick’s Street that is most famous shopping street as well as Cork Opera House is the few modern in Ireland, a place for particular interesting is “The English Market” accessible from Patrick’s street, it is a covered market for fish, fruit, meat spices and luxury foods. After you can see all that, you have a lunch.

Blarney Castle
The visit continue to the Blarney Castle that was built 600 years old by the captain Cormac MacCarthy to attract the attention further of Munster, so Blarney became a world landmark and one the Ireland greatest treasures. Here it finds also the Blarney Stone at the top of our Tower. This Stone have a legend that say “ Kiss it ,and you’ll never again be lost for word”. After that you will transfer to the hotel in Cork for dinner and overnight stay.



5th DAY

Breakfast at the hotel and transfer by Train to Dublin where you arrive after two hours. When you arrive, visit The Four Courts that is the Supreme Court and the High Court of Ireland, it was built in 1786 by the James Gandon, but during the Civil War in 1922, it was damaged and most of document were destroyed. After you finish the visit, have lunch in typical restaurant .

In the Afternoon, you continue to admire the Custom House that is magnificent building, it was built between 1781-1791 by James Gandon in Neoclassical style; it was the custom and the harbor of Dublin, but when the harbor was transfered around about the river outlet, it became the site of govern.

After you return to the hotel for dinner. Today you spent you last evening in Dublin in a picturesque pub. After that you return to the hotel in Dublin for overnight stay.



6th DAY

Breakfast at the hotel and you have morning at leisure, that you spent to enjoy in Grafton Street the major Shopping street in Dublin, where you have free lunch. Here you can admire Wally Malane Statue.

After that you’ll be transfer at the Dublin Airport for your Homebound Flight.
